Dallas Police Catch 2 Aggravated Robbery Suspects After Highway And Foot Chase
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas Police have two men in custody after car chase on I-35 followed by a foot chase along a dense, wooded area along railroad tracks Monday afternoon.
They are suspected of aggravated robbery.
The chase ended at Lawnview Avenue and Military Parkway around 4:10 p.m.
The pair were in a black, Lexus that police chased for more than 30 minutes.
No one was hurt during or after the chase.
Dallas Police said the chase started around 3:30 p.m. as undercover officers were doing investigative work in search of known robbery suspects.
The officers located the vehicle that had been used in the aggravated robberies in the 2800 block of Henderson Avenue, 2200 block of Worthington and 2800 block of Fitzhugh Avenue.
Once officers positively identified the vehicle, officers in marked patrol cars were notified and responded to the area of Cedar Crest and E. 11th Street.
It is unclear at this time if patrol cars ever got into a pursuit with the suspects.
However, Air One followed the vehicle until the vehicle came to a stop in the 4100 block of Lawnview.
Air One directed officers to the suspect locations and after a short foot pursuit, the suspects were taken into custody.
