Dallas Police: 28-Year-Old Man Reportedly Shot During Attempted Robbery Dies At Hospital

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — A 28-year-old who was reportedly shot while two men tried to rob him and one other person died from his injuries, according to a Dallas police statement.

Officers responded to the shooting just before 7 p.m. Saturday at 17470 Marsh Ln., where they met a man who said two men tried to rob him and the 28-year-old, Alfonso Perez, at gunpoint, according to the department's report.

The man told police he and Perez had been walking behind a business toward a train station when two men approached them. The man said when the suspects attempted to rob them, Perez tried to defend himself and a suspect shot him, police said. Perez died at a Plano hospital from his injuries.

Police said the suspects have not been caught.
