Dallas Officer Shoots At Suspect Pointing Gun At Him

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -  An off-duty Dallas police officer was working in full uniform at the Title Loan at 3306 Irving Boulevard when a man came in with a handgun and allegedly pointed it at the officer.

The officer fired his gun at the suspect multiple times. The suspect ran out and into an awaiting vehicle with an accomplice.This happened around 5:40pm Friday.

Responding officers were able to track down the suspects in a nearby neighborhood and arrested them without further incident. Two handguns were recovered. One suspect was treated and released by Dallas Fire-Rescue paramedics for an unknown injury.

Both suspects were taken to Police Headquarters for questioning. Neither the involved officer nor the witnesses were injured. The Special Investigations Unit is conducting the investigation.
