DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas police officers responded to a call in the 4200 block of Wiley College Drive Wednesday afternoon regarding an armed man threatening to harm himself.

Dallas police say officers began negotiating with the suspect who was walking in and out of the residence with a gun for about 45 minutes.

At some point an officer discharged their weapon, but did not strike the suspect. The suspect walked back inside the residence and put the weapon down. The suspect walked outside and was taken into custody without incident. No officers were injured.
