Dallas Officer Arrested For Trespassing In Southlake

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Southlake arrested a Dallas police officer on Monday and charged him with criminal trespassing. Sgt. Zackary Kerr is a 26-year veteran of the Dallas Police Department, and is said to be currently assigned to the agency's Criminal Intelligence Unit.

Southlake officials have not released further details about the alleged offense.

Kerr has been placed on administrative leave in Dallas pending an Internal Affairs investigation.

This is the second incident in the past two days that has resulted in the arrest of a Dallas police officer. Authorities on Sunday took Sr. Cpl. Jose Gomez into custody for allegedly choking his girlfriend during an argument at a hotel room. He was arrested and charged with assault. Gomez is also now on administrative leave.
