Dallas "Money Therapist" Talks Of Long Odds On Powerball Win

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Sure, the $800 million Powerball jackpot has many people excited and feeling lucky, but according to Dallas CPA and so called "Money Therapist," Holly Signorelli those hopes may be more far-fetched than some think.
Signorelli said,"You only have a 1 and 292 million chance to win."
She said you have better chances of some other random and strange things happening just walking around Dallas than winning the lottery.
For example she said, ""You have a 1 in 12,000 chance in your lifetime to be struck by lightning while you're standing out here."
She added, "You do have a 1 in 20 million chance in dying from a dog bite over at Klyde Warren Park."
Signorelli also advises those playing that buying more than one ticket doesn't mean you will increase your chances of winning.
She said, "Even if you bought thousands it would still be the same statistic because the number is so big that buying multiple tickets will not help your odds."
