Man found shot to death in Farmers Branch was first kidnapped with 2 teenagers, police say

FARMERS BRANCH – Police in Farmers Branch are searching for three suspects after three people were kidnapped and one of them shot dead.

Farmers Branch officers found the body of 33-year-old Nilzuly Arneaud Petit on Valley View Lane near the Bush Turnpike at 3:40 a.m. Saturday. Police say they discovered that Petit and two teens under 16 years old had been kidnapped hours earlier from an apartment complex in Northeast Dallas.

According to Farmers Branch PD Lt. Terry Eoff, the three victims were returning from a party at around 12:30 a.m. Petit was driving a friend's black 2015 Toyota 4Runner.

When they arrived at the complex, two suspects commandeered the SUV with the victims inside. At some point later, the suspects moved the victims into a beige or white four-door sedan Eoff said, when a third suspect took the 4Runner.

The suspects then drove the sedan to Farmers Branch, where they shot Petit in the head.

Lewisville police officers later found the two teenage victims walking on the I-35 service road near Corporate Drive. They were both unharmed and have been cooperating with the investigation.

The 4Runner was later found abandoned in Greenville, Texas.

Eoff said all three suspects were Hispanic men. He declined to give specifics on the relationships the victims had with each other or with the suspects.

He said police are reviewing surveillance camera footage from TxDOT as they search for more evidence. They are looking for witnesses who saw either vehicle in the early hours of Saturday morning and asked anyone with information to contact the Farmers Branch Police Department.
