DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM/AP) - Police in Dallas said that a 23-year-old man was shot and killed after an apparent argument on New Year's Eve in the east Oak Cliff area.

Dallas Police spokeswoman Chinh Le said in a statement on Thursday that officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 1500 block of Kingsley Drive, where the victim lived, at around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

A victim identified as Victor Colin suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to Baylor Medical Center at Dallas, where he was pronounced dead.

Le said that witnesses reported that Colin had been arguing with three unknown black males in front of the home prior to reports of gunfire.

No further descriptions of any suspects have been given, but homicide detectives are "working to develop leads."
