Police Look For Clues In Dallas Man's Shooting Death

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Investigators in Dallas are trying to solve a murder mystery with only a few clues to help crack the case. The incident happened just after midnight at the Mandalay Palms Apartments, near Highway 67 and Interstate-20, not far from the Southwest Center Mall.

A neighbor felt something was wrong when she saw 53-year-old Michael Gardner's apartment door standing wide open, so she called 911 and asked that police come and check out the situation. When officers arrived they found Gardner inside. He had been shot to death.

Police have not said if they have any suspects in the shooting, but are investigating Gardner's death as a homicide.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the shooting to send an email to Dallas police Detective Trujillano or give them a call at 214-671-3625.
