Dallas Man Pleads Guilty To Child Porn Charges
DALLAS (AP) — Federal prosecutors say a 23-year-old Dallas man has pleaded guilty to child pornography charges in a case involving a baby under two-years-old.
James Brian Rivers admitted Tuesday in court to one count of production of child pornography and another count of possession of prepubescent child pornography. He faces at least 15 years in prison, and a maximum of 50 years, when he's sentenced in May.
Prosecutors say Rivers was arrested after leaving his cellphone at a neighbor's house in June. The neighbor scrolled through the cellphone and found pornographic images. Police were then contacted.
Authorities say a review of the phone revealed multiple images of the baby and one pornographic video.
