Dallas Man Arrested After Accidentally Shooting Baby

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — New information about the case of the one-year-old accidentally shot at a Northeast Dallas apartment complex Friday night.

Her father, Elliott Stricklin, has been arrested and faces a charge of reckless injury to a child. Stricklin, 34, had no prior arrest history.

The toddler is in critical condition at Children's Medical Center in Dallas.

The girl's uncle told CBS 11 that her father is a security officer and was cleaning his gun when it accidentally discharged.

The incident occurred at 11500 Ferguson Road.
