DALLAS (CBSDFW) - A Dallas ISD High School teacher has been arrested for an improper relationship with a student.

49-year old Mary Lowrance of Dallas, an English teacher at Molina High School, turned herself in to district police Thursday morning.

Craig Miller with Dallas ISD police says they were made aware of the relationship after Lowrance admitted it to a co-worker.

Miller says they conducted several interviews including one with the student and then got an arrest warrant.

Lowrance is currently out of jail on a $5,000 bond.
