Fire displaces residents at northwest Dallas apartment complex, 2 injured

DALLAS – Fire officials said an undetermined number of residents were displaced Thursday after a fire damaged at least 12 units at Stone Manor Apartments in northwest Dallas.

No one was taken to the hospital by Dallas Fire-Rescue units, but two people with minor injuries transported themselves for treatment, Dallas Fire-Rescue said.

Firefighters responded at 1:23 p.m. to the blaze at the two-story apartment complex at 3116 Park Lane, west of Webb Chapel Road.

More than 40 DFR units and dozens of firefighters responded to the scene.

CBS News Texas Chopper video showed smoke and flames coming from multiple units of the complex and a large section of the roof collapsed.

According to Dallas Fire-Rescue, the fire was brought under control at 2:48 p.m.

The fire's cause is under investigation.
