FRISCO (105.3 THE FAN) - The Cowboys are back from the bye and riding high at 5-1 ... hoping more help is on the way.

A Monday practice report:
Tony Romo was not on the field during the open-media portion of the session at The Star in Frisco. But that doesn't mean I will completely close the books on the idea of him throwing today in some form. I'll keep you posted here.

Dez Bryant is working fully and working well. He knee does not seem to be an issue as he focuses on fulfilling his vow, as told to 105.3 The Fan, to play this Sunday night against the visiting Eagles.

No Tyron Smith today. Let's hope this is just a "Tyron Wednesday on a Monday" and it's just maintenance for his ailing back.

I'm told there is no plan to rush back to the field Darren McFadden or James Hannah. Hannah is on the sideline today doing cord work.

Dan Bailey, Lance Dunbar, Mo Claiborne and Orlando Scandrick appeared to be working. Good health and fresh legs will help here.

An interesting and pleasant sight: Jaylon Smith in the weight room alongside Randy Gregory. No, they are not ready to help the football team right now. But maybe it's good enough that they're helping each other.
