DALLAS (CBS11) - The Dallas City Council may approve the largest settlement of its kind in the city's history.

A man shot by a Dallas police officer has agreed to settle the case for $1.6 million.

In 2013, an officer shot Bobby Bennett claiming Bennett lunged at him, but surveillance video showed that was not the case and the officer was fired.

The city council is expected to vote on the settlement Tuesday.
