Cruz Turns To Satire For Christmas Ad Campaign

HOUSTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Republican presidential candidate and Texas Senator Ted Cruz is turning to political satire in a parody ad that will run in Iowa during Saturday Night Live tonight.

The ad features Cruz, his two children and his wife and shows the senator reading what the campaign calls "Cruz Christmas Classics."

Recent polls have put Cruz in first place among Republican candidates in Iowa.
