Cruz Post-Debate Fundraising Tops $1M In 48 Hours

HOUSTON (CBSDFW.COM) — Since his appearance on the second GOP presidential debate on Wednesday, Sen. Ted Cruz's presidential campaign has seen fundraising surge above $1 million.

The Cruz for President campaign has raised $1,015,973.98 in the first 48 hours since the debate, according to a press release.

"I am thrilled by the outpouring of financial support we've seen in such a short amount of time," Cruz said.

This total comes from more than 15,000 donations, the press release said. The average online donation was $49.54.
