Crashes Continue As Snow Day Turns To Night

PLANO (CBS 11 NEWS) – An SUV crashed into the wall on southbound 75 in Plano Friday evening, leaving a family with an infant and small child stranded on the highway.

Paramedics pulled an injured woman from the car, while others tried to shield themselves from the cold.

Farther south in Richardson, an 18-wheeler jack-knifed over the concrete wall separating the north and sound bound HOV lanes. The accident backed up traffic on the southbound side of 75.

All over Collin County, our CBS 11 crews passed drivers slipping off roads and into barriers on highways and side streets.

A Plano mom headed home from her daughter's daycare slid into the median, toppled a small tree, and got stuck on Parker Road.

Good Samaritans helped make sure she and her daughter made it out safely.

"She's my teacher. She happened to be driving by, happened to be driving by and stopped, like a Good Samaritan."
