ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) -A crash in North Arlington, involving three heavy equipment vehicles, has left one person dead.

According to Arlington police, the driver of a trash truck was going too fast as he tried to turn right onto Mosier Valley Road from Collins Street.

The trash truck flipped on its side after the driver lost control. When the driver lost control the trash truck hit an 18-wheeler that was traveling east on Mosier Valley. The chain-reaction ended when a dump truck traveling behind the 18-wheeler crashed.

Arlington police spokesperson Steven Bartolotta explained that the driver of the trash truck was killed and there were others hurt. "One fatality, one person transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the driver of the other 18-wheeler was okay with no injuries."

Traffic in the area was snarled as first-responders and hazardous materials crews cleared the crash scene.
