Crash Causes Gridlock On I-45 Near Downtown Dallas

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - If you were heading south on I-45 near downtown Dallas earlier Wednesday afternoon, you were likely stuck in major gridlock.

The crash involved two vehicles, including a big rig, and responders couldn't find the driver of the big rig.

This happened near Overton Road, over the Trinity River, so a water rescue team was sent to search the waters below.

The driver was found unharmed.

The fuel spill from the crash kept I-45-South closed until around 3:00 p.m.
