DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys have released back-up quarterback Brandon Weeden.

Mike Fisher confirmed the report that Dallas would release the former Oklahoma State quarterback.

The move paves the way for Tony Romo to be on the active roster for Sunday's game against Miami.

Weeden went 0-3 in absence of Romo. He threw for 728 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
