Cowboys Vs. Giants Tickets 7% Below Season Average In Dallas

Provided by TiqIQ

In a battle of the NFC East, the Dallas Cowboys welcome the struggling New York Giants to AT&T Stadium this Sunday. The Giants suffered a dismal blow from the Eagles in Philadelphia last week, losing both the game and wide receiver Victor Cruz for the season. The Cowboys have had a different stroke of luck, however, and enter Week 7 with a 5-1 record after solidifying five consecutive victories. They head home to host the Giants and share first-place honors with Eagles, who own an identical record atop the NFC East.

Though the game will serve as a divisional matchup, it will be below the Cowboys’ season average over their last five home games. According to TiqIQ, the average price for Cowboys vs. NY Giants tickets to their game this Sunday is $251.02 on the secondary market, 7% below the season average of Cowboys tickets, with a get-in price starting of $84. Two other home games on the Cowboys schedule against the Eagles and Colts later this season have elevated the Cowboys’ season average on the secondary market, as the two winning teams serve as the final home games in Arlington during the regular season. Even with Dallas’ hot start to the season, the season average for Cowboys tickets has only increased 3.5%.

Much of the Cowboys’ success on the secondary market over their final five home games belongs to their NFC East matchup with the Eagles, with whom they currently share first place within the division. That game will be played on November 27 and currently has a secondary market average of $329.41 and a get-in price of $103. The division will likely come down to the Cowboys and Eagles as the Giants and Redskins continue to struggle, owning a collective 4-8 record as they both sit in the lower half of the division.

The Cowboys will have to power through the Giants this weekend before taking on the Eagles at home later this season, however. The two teams last met in Arlington in Week 1 last season, with the Cowboys taking a 36-31 win over the Giants. The Cowboys would serve as the first road block for the Giants in a forgettable season as they would go on to lose their first six games. Big Blue hasn’t played much better this season as the team enters Week 7 with a 3-3 record and will likely face more difficulty against the surging Cowboys on Sunday. Eli Manning will have a limited receiving core as well after Victor Cruz went down with a season-ending torn patellar tendon injury last week. The Giants risk falling further into obscurity with a loss against the Cowboys, a feeling they have become all too familiar with since last season.

While the NFC East battle this weekend won’t yield a premium for secondary tickets, it will be a defining game for the Giants as they try to put the pieces back together following a horrid outing in Philadelphia last Sunday. The Cowboys continue to impress this season and will hope to continue their streak against the Giants as they fight for divisional bragging rights. With a downtrodden Giants team heading south, the Cowboys will likely capitalize on their poor play in Arlington this Sunday.
