Cowboys Updates On Brent, Lawrence, Romo

IRVING (CBSDFW.COM) - Saturday is designed to be a "light day" in the NFL but it is a big business day for the Dallas Cowboys.

The most immediate game-changer: Dallas made a procedural move on Saturday, adding rookie defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence to the 53-man roster (and waiving Lavar Edwards).

Lawrence is eligible to make his debut with the Cowboys tomorrow against Arizona and sources tell me Dallas is planning for Lawrence to line up at right end in passing situations.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys inked Josh Brent to a one-year extension, keeping him with the team through the 2015 season.

The deal is for $745,000 with no guaranteed money. The defensive tackle is eligible to play after Week 10.

And finally, in what will be the biggest news on Sunday, I'm told by Cowboys sources that Tony Romo's listing as "questionable" makes the injured QB "50/50" in the literal sense, with no definitive do you discussion on his availability to be made until Sunday morning.
