SAN FRANCISCO (105.3 The Fan) - The Cowboys came back from an early deficit to beat the 49ers 24-17 in Santa Clara Sunday afternoon.
Things were not looking good for Dallas as they were down 14-0 late in the second quarter. That's when things began to turn around, however.
Dak Prescott found Terrance Williams and Brice Butler in the end zone for touchdowns in the final 3 minutes of the half to tie it up heading to the locker room.
Dallas was led by Ezekiel Elliott on the ground, who torched the 49ers defense for 138 yards. Elliott put the Cowboys ahead for good in the 3rd quarter when he punched it in from the 49ers 1-yard line.
Dallas had to hold off a late 49ers drive, but Morris Claiborne came with a huge tackle to stop 49ers receiver Torrey Smith from nearly getting a first down on 4th and 6. Claiborne also had a key interception on a 4th quarter 49ers possession.
The Cowboys were able to put it on ice after Cole Beasley escaped for a 47 yard catch and run, ending the 49ers hopes at getting the ball back in the waining seconds.
Dallas is now 3-1 on the season and will face the Cincinnati Bengals at home in week five.
