DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The NFL has released the first report of the top vote-getters for the 2017 Pro Bowl. At the top of the list is a pair of Cowboys' rookies that continue to light the league on fire.
Ezekiel Elliott, the league leading rusher, leads all players with 681,361 votes, the NFL announced Monday. Next up was quarterback Dak Prescott (607,621 votes), who has had one of the best seasons ever for a rookie QB in the NFL.
While the two will surely be voted into the game when the final numbers are released later this season, Dallas will first have to be knocked off their perch in the NFC for the two to actually appear in the game. At 11-1, the Cowboys are well on their way to the best record in the NFC and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, and Elliott and Prescott are among the biggest reasons why.
The Pro Bowl, which will return to an AFC vs. NFC format, will be played on Sunday, Jan. 29 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla.
Fan voting closes on December 13.
