DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - The Dallas Cowboys top 2016 NFL Draft pick will finally make his preseason debut Thursday night when the team travels to Seattle.

According to Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett, RB Ezekiel Elliott will take the field for the first time since he's been sidelined with hamstring issues since the start of training camp in Oxnard.

"Zeke practiced today, we anticipate him playing Thursday" said coach Garrett at his daily press conference.

Earlier Tuesday morning on his weekly show on The Fan, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was not so sure Elliott would be lining up behind starting QB Tony Romo in the third preseason match-up.

"I don't know if he'll play, he could" said Jones.

"Just from the standpoint of how he looked initially at training camp, I've seen enough - enough to know that he is everything we hoped he would be" said Jones.
