FRISCO (105.3 THE FAN)  - Cowboys rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott, Dallas' first-round pick and a centerpiece of 2016 expectations, is suddenly embroiled in a domestic abuse controversy.

A woman named Tiffany Thompson, who Deadspin reports has been linked to Elliott as his girlfriend, was posting pictures on her Instagram account (@tifffmariee_) Friday morning of her bruises, complete with a statement about speaking out against domestic violence.

"Just for every women out there getting abused it's time to put a stop to it. This has been happening to me for months and it finally got out of control to where I was picked up and thrown across the room by my arms. Thrown into walls. Being choked to where I have to gasp for breath. Bruised everywhere, mentally and physically abused. It's not okay. So I want each and everyone one of you girls to step away now from domestic violence. You're worth so much more. I got told it was called "tough love" I'm sorry if you love someone you don't touch your loved ones.''

While Thompson does not specifically accuse Elliott, a second set of photos posted were directed to Elliott's Instagram account.

In a 911 call, Thompson claims the alleged physical abuse from her 'boyfriend' had been going on "for the past 5 days."

One police report from the Columbus (Ohio) Police Department details the incident.

According to the report, Elliott allegedly attacked Thompson while she was sitting the driver's seat of her parked car.

The report states that one female witness, sitting in the passenger seat of the vehicle,  did not observe the suspect assault the victim.

Three other witnesses, two men and one woman, were all in the parking lot and observed the entire interaction between the victim and the suspect - and they did not observe an assault, according to the report.

The report states that Elliott was not arrested due to conflicting reports from witnesses, but that Thompson was referred to the prosecutor's office.

In a first police report, Thompson told police that he has struck her several times from Saturday July 16 through Wednesday July 20 - leaving bruises on her arms. She also claimed that they lived together for approximately 3 months within the past year.

In the report, filled out by Thompson, she lists her occupation as "sex slave."

Elliott claims he never touched Thompson and that the bruises on her body were caused by a bar fight she was in. He also stated that he and Thompson never lived together but he did pay for her rent and was a co-signer on her vehicle.

According to TMZ, one person in his agent's office told us, "I can assure you [the allegations] are not true." TMZ also says Elliott has denied any wrongdoing.

Elliott's father, Stacy Elliott issued this statement.

"The reported allegations and Internet postings regarding our son are completely false.  Ezekiel has done nothing wrong.  The police have investigated this matter and eyewitnesses have verified the lack of any wrongdoing.  The actual evidence in this matter clearly indicates what the real motivation was behind the police being called.  We are confident that when the truth comes to light it will reveal the falsity of these claims.  Ezekiel has been fully cooperative with the police and will continue to do so—along with cooperating with the NFL—moving forward."
