Cowboys Romo, McClain To Sit Out Practice

IRVING (105.3 THE FAN) -- The "quarterbacks'' of both the Dallas Cowboys offense and defense are sitting out Wednesday's practice at Valley Ranch as the team prepares for its Sunday showdown at Seattle. But there is no concern regarding Tony Romo, and there is optimism regarding Rolando McClain.

As has been customary for the last month, Romo -- managing his back following a partial discectomy last December -- participated in the Cowboys' Wednesday morning walk-through but will rest and rehab indoors during the full practice.

he Cowboys are 3-0 so far when including "Romo Wednesdays'' into their schedule.

McClain, the middle linebacker who has emerged as a leader of Dallas' surprisingly effective defense, played through his groin injury for most of Sunday's win against Houston but is unable to go today.

The Cowboys remain optimistic that McClain can return in time to play against the Super Bowl champs.

Fellow linebacker Bruce Carter is unlikely to play Sunday at Seattle as he is recovering from a quad injury.
