ARLINGTON (CBSDFW) - It wasn't pretty by any means, but Tony Romo carried the Dallas Cowboys to a come from behind win over the New York Giants on Sunday night. "His patience was outstanding," said Jason Garrett on Tony Romo. "His command is outstanding. The big throw to Witt (Witten) at the end was unbelievable."

The Cowboys started off very well, but just couldn't put the ball in the endzone, settling for two Dan Bailey field goals after two very good drives. Things continued to not go well as Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie returned a Cole Beasley fumble 57 yards for a touchdown towards the end of the second quarter. Trumaine McBride intercepted Romo with just under 9 minutes left in the 4th quarter, leading to a Rashad Jennings 1 yard touchdown run to take a 23-13 lead.

Tony Romo followed with a no-huddle offensive drive and finished it off with a touchdown pass to Jason Witten with 5:11 remaining.

With hope dwindling as the Giants were running the clock out. A potential 3rd and 2 was eliminated as Jeremy Mincey was called for a 15 yard personal foul penalty, setting the Giants up for a first and goal with less than two minutes remaining. After running twice and two timeouts called by Dallas, Tom Coughlin elected to have Eli Manning drop back for a pass on 3rd and goal. Manning threw the ball out of the endzone, and the Giants settled for a field goal by Josh Brown to go up by six, with just over a minute and a half remaining.

That's when Tony Romo went to work. With 1:34 remaining, Romo found Terrance Williams, Lance Dunbar and Jason Witten for plays on the final 72 yard drive, capped off by an 11 yard touchdown by Witten with 7 seconds remaining in the game.

Dallas has now won five straight against the division rival New York Giants, and they'll head to Philadelphia to face the Eagles next Sunday.

It's not all cheers for the Cowboys as they lost a few key players to injuries. According to Jerry Jones, Dez Bryant broke a bone in his right foot and will be out 4-6 weeks. Randy Gregory left the game with what the Cowboys are calling a sprained ankle, while Ronald Leary left with a groin injury.
