OXNARD (105.3 THE FAN) - Sources tell me In the Cowboys are not planning to pursue Nick Foles at this time -- but that doesn't mean Dallas is completely locked in at the backup QB spots. Foles, 27, had a highlight moment in Philadelphia but has been a flop since, and is now being released by the Rams.

The Cowboys personnel department is not high on Foles and has faith in the developmental potential of rookie Dak Prescott. The coaching staff, keyed by coordinator Scott Linehan, has faith in No. 2 guy Kellen Moore.

The Cowboys start training camp in Oxnard this weekend, and poor work by Moore could trigger a re-exploration of Foles-like options.
