DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - Cowboys owner Jerry Jones joined "Shan & RJ'' on Tuesday morning to review the OT loss to the Eagles and, more importantly now, the major issues looking ahead for a 2-6 team that's lost six straight.

Five hot topics:

CAN YOU STILL SEE A WAY TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS? "Well, I can do math. And we can all do that kind of thing, and it seems like, relatively speaking, since Romo got hurt it seems like we've been doing math as to what the rest of our division is doing. ... Teams have various challenges along the way and that could happen to anybody that's ahead of you right now, New York or some of those. And they could start playing at a level that gives us a shot."

WILL YOU SIT ROMO IF THE SEASON IS LOST? "Not at all. When he gets on the field against Miami, and it most assuredly will be at this juncture, there's no set of circumstances that we wouldn't play him and play him with hopes of winning that game and winning the rest of the ballgames. I think not only our game but sports in general, if you've got an opportunity, if you got a chance to win this thing, then you take it. I know I'm talking in generalities, but specifically, we have a team that could really, from the standpoint of the personnel that's on the field, really be a top team as we get into the last half of this season. We want to show our fans that."

HAS SIGNING GREG HARDY BEEN WORTH IT? "Well, I don't weigh decisions that I make at a point later on and say, 'Was it worth it?' I just continue to look at the hand that I'm dealt with on a daily basis. I do look back but I realize that those decision-making times are gone and really all that counts is the next day or the moments ahead, so enough of that philosophical talk here. No, I haven't. I'm looking ahead. We want to have our team in shape here to go down and do a good job against Tampa, and that's really the way I look at it. …  We as an organization and as a team, over the years, make personnel decisions that are in the best interest of winning the football games. We certainly have parameters that when we make decisions about players we know that they have to be eligible to play, and eligible to play means through our legal system, through our system in the NFL. We have a very strong domestic violence policy in the NFL. In the case of some issues, and there are a handful of them, you get one chance, and if you mess that up, then you don't get a chance again. We've got some behavioral situations that you're out for life if you mess that up. So the whole system is based upon second chances. ... We all know, given a second chance, there's an opportunity to turn your future around. Principally, that's a principle that I've used really throughout my life."

HOW IS SEAN LEE LOOKING? "Probably doubtful ... But we've taken into consideration he's had an earlier concussion this year. Then we are looking at it through that perspective. He will have to pass certain tests throughout the week. And that's going to be quite a challenge for him since he's one of the parts of the test that you start with is he's had an earlier concussion in the year. So, that's quite a hurdle to overcome when you've had a concussion."

DEZ GOOD TO GO? "Yeah. He sounded good yesterday. The report sounded good for him, and he did hit (his leg) a little awkwardly (on the TD catch), but when you make that kind of athletic play, then you've got to land somewhere. And usually where you land is going to pay the price and it did. But we think he's going to be fine and ready to play against Tampa."
