Cowboys Injury Update: Lee, Hardy, McClain

IRVING (105.3 THE FAN) - Sean Lee is back on the practice field today, joined by fellow defensive standouts Greg Hardy and Rolando McClain, who are all targeting returns to the field on Sunday against the visiting and undefeated Patriots.

Lee, the playmaking weakside linebacker, is back on the field for the first time since sustaining a concussion in the first quarter of the Cowboys' OT loss at New Orleans last Sunday. He is likely to be a limited participant today but was the first in line during early-practice linebacker drills.

It's hoped he and middle linebacker McClain can line up together for the first time, something both players have spoken about with anticipation before and after McClain's now-completed four-game drug suspension.

Meanwhile, defensive end Greg Hardy seems ready to make his first start as a Cowboy. He is also coming off a four-game suspension (for involvement in a domestic-violence case) after an All-Pro career in Carolina.

Likely not participating in the practice: Receiver Brice Butler (hamstring), tight end James Hanna (ankle), defensive end Randy Gregory (ankle) and  receiver Dez Bryant (foot), whose rehab is upped and now includes the use of an oxygen-deprivation mask and anti-gravity/low-impact movement on a treadmill.
