PLANO (CBS11) — The Dallas Cowboys win over the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday was a heartbreaking one after quarterback Tony Romo broke his left collarbone.

Cowboys fans are not happy, but sports pubs Sunday night were full of folks who have had some time to process the injury and reflect on the road ahead. They have the 2010 injury as a model, so they can have an idea what to expect in terms of recovery.

"You know he's been injured before; he's come back," Cowboys fan Brad Christian said. "I got faith he'll be back maybe three, four games."

Fans we met are trying to stay positive about it. Many of them tell us they could tell it was bad when Romo went down, so they're just glad he's likely not out for the whole season.

"Players get clavicle injuries. It happens," Christian's brother Tim added. "It's something you bounce back from, and the season's not over."

We've also heard some thoughtful analysis about the team's schedule, with some fans saying they feel good about the Cowboys' prospects over the next few weeks, even without Romo.

A lot of the people we met are trying to stay optimistic, and they'll be keeping their fingers crossed during this recovery.

"Hopefully he'll be able to come back from this in eight or nine weeks," Cowboys fan Pam Horn said. "And this gives Brandon a chance to show what he's got."
