Cowboys' Dez Takes To The Basketball Court

FRISCO (105.3 THE FAN) - Cowboys All-Pro wide receiver Dez Bryant told me last week that "they'll let the boy out in training camp! And I can't wait!''
Well, apparently not. Because training camp in California is a month away ... but Dez was in California over the weekend and he "let himself out'' on the basketball court.
Bryant is coming off a sort of "wasted year'' and a patient off season rehab due to a pair of foot surgeries. He was a limited participant in recent OTAs and the minicamp at Valley Ranch, telling me he's doing everything under the guidance of team trainer Britt Brown. ... while also sneaking in an offsite pitch-and-catch session with QB Tony Romo.
Bryant was recently spotted by TMZ Sports hitting 3's and putting on moves in a game of pickup hoops. Dallas needs him to once again be that 1,300-yard/16-TD "beast'' he was in 2014.
But first? Dez wants to drain some jumpers.
