Cowboys' DeMarco Murray Grounds Titans

NASHVILLE (105.3 THE FAN) -  The Dallas Cowboys grounded the Titans 26-10 Sunday at LP Field in large part because they purposely grounded themselves.

"This is how you wanna play," coach Jason Garrett said of a win that evens Dallas' record at 1-1. "I think we wore those guys down."

DeMarco Murray was the centerpiece, with his 29 carries for 167 yards and a touchdown.

"We had a good day running the football, and all the credit goes to the blocking of the offensive line, the tight ends and the receivers," Murray told 105.3 The Fan. "It's a pleasure running behind them."

There was a blemish on Murray's ledger as for the second straight week he fumbled.

"That was the third carry of about 30 carries you're going to have today," Garrett scolded at Murray.  "So hold onto the damn ball!"

In total, Dallas ran the ball 43 times for 220 yards. The Cowboys also got interceptions from Barry Church and Rolando McClain, four Dan Bailey field goals, and 103 yards, 10 catches and a score from Dez Bryant.

But as Bryant himself acknowledged, this was Murray's show.

"That," said Bryant, "was him going  'beast-mode.' Pure beast-mode."
