Cowboys 'Deal' With CB Patrick Robinson Put On Hold

IRVING (105.3 THE FAN) - An "agreement'' isn't quite the same thing as a "deal'' and so free-agent cornerback Patrick Robinson - new agent in tow - is following up his visit with the Cowboys with a visit to the Colts.

The Valley Ranch view is that Robinson, the former first-round pick who started 10 games with the Chargers last season, had forged a three-year agreement to join Dallas as a free agent. But at some point before ink was put to paper, Robinson changed agents … which apparently changed the tone of the negotiations.

Dallas' search for help in the defensive backfield has included a visit from Leon Hall, who was with the Bengals last year and who remains unsigned.
