ABILENE (CBSDFW.COM) – Court documents show that Abilene police officer Don Allen's homicide wasn't random, and it was premeditated.

The 27-year-old officer was found dead in his home Monday.

Furthermore, communication occurred between multiple people to plan and carry out the murder, according to the documents.

Abilene police said there is no indication that Allen was targeted for his work as an officer.

The FBI and Texas Rangers are investigating his death.
