Could Deron Williams Be Moving To Play With The Mavs?

DALLAS (CBSDFW) - 31-year old Deron Williams is from The Colony, and this would be a chance for him to play with the hometeam.
In fact, he made headlines around this time, three years ago, when the Dallas Mavericks were trying to get him here.
In that battle, the Mavs lost to the Brooklyn Nets, though - and that's where Williams remains.
At that time Deron said that team owner Mark Cuban's absence when the Mavs were making their pitch to the All-Star point guard to come to Dallas made a difference in his decision.
According to ESPN, the story is different this time, with Williams and the Mavs wanting to help each other if the Nets let him out of his contract to become a free agent.
So it will be interesting to see if Mark Cuban will play a rile in trying to lure Williams back home - and if it works.
If you're looking to see whether Williams is commenting - at least on Twitter, he hasn't mentioned it yet.
His last post was in April, about the new Apple watch.
