McKINNEY (AP) - A North Texas man has been sentenced to 70 years in prison for raping a woman after he gave her gifts and thought she owed him something in return.

Felipe DeJesus Blanco of Plano was convicted of aggravated sexual assault in the April 2014 attack.

Prosecutors on Friday announced the penalty for the 33-year-old Blanco, who told police he believed the victim owed him after he bought her multiple items.

DNA evidence tied Blanco to the victim. Authorities say she blacked out during the assault but later was able to seek medical help.

Blanco has prior convictions for resisting arrest and assault.
