Constructing The NBA All Free Agent Squad

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -- The marquee free agents are all spoken for, but there are still some jewels to be had on the free agent market.

So just for fun, let's see what type of team we can build purely using current NBA free agents.

The All NBA Free-Agent Squad

Point Guard: Eric Bledsoe (restricted)

Bledsoe can score, defend and distribute the ball effectively. What more can you ask for from your point guard?

Yes, he turned the ball over at an uncharacteristic level last season (3.3), but he pressures the ball relentlessly and is a nightmare for opposing guards.

Knee injury and all, he's only 24.

Shooting Guard: Ray Allen (Unrestricted)

If one of the top-3 shooters of all time is available, don't think twice -- take him.

Yes, Allen recently turned 39-years-old and can struggle defensively, but as you will see, this team is constructed (much like the Heat) to cover up his deficiency.

He won't play 30 minutes per game ever again in his career. But he will start -- and finish -- games with his same deadly touch.

Small Forward: Shawn Marion (Unrestricted)

It's an absolute no-brainer at the small forward position. Despite being 36, Marion can defend four positions on the court -- at an elite level.

He rebounds exceptionally well for a 6'7" forward, can consistently average double digit points, and has improved upon his 3-pt shooting in each of the past three seasons.

He does it all.

Power Forward: Greg Monroe (Restricted)

At the ripe age of 23 (now 24), Monroe collected 34 double-doubles on an under-performing Detroit Pistons team.

He's a career 51-percent shooter, works hard on the offensive boards, and started 82 games last season.

He's athletic and he's 6'11" -- that's a good combination.

Center: Emeka Okafor (Unrestricted)

The obvious: Okafor missed the entire 2013-14 season with a herniated disc in his neck. So yes, there is risk.

But the 31-year-old could likely be had on a one-year deal at a reasonable salary.

When healthy, he is still a formidable presence on the defensive end of the floor.

The former NBA Rookie of the Year is absolutely worth taking a flyer on.

6th Man: Jordan Crawford (Unrestricted)

Crawford attacks defenses. That's what you want from a sixth man.

While his offensive efficiency is suspect, the 25-year-old has a scorer's mentality.

Immature, unprofessional -- maybe. Talented -- absolutely.
