Comparing Cowboys Offensive Line To 1990s Version

OXNARD (105.3TheFan) - Had a great chat with my former coworker Nate Newton out at Cowboys Camp Thursday. Here's some of the great stuff he told me.

I asked him if this Cowboys OL compares to his in the '90s: "This line will be better. They need time together but they're more talented and more athletic than we were."

He said the only time they struggle is when they don't run early in games and can't get into a rhythm, especially vs a 3-4 defense.

He said there's a reason La'el Collins dropped to them, and like Jimmy Johnson told him, sometimes when that happens you gotta find a way to get those guys into the lineup. He's a beast, and if he can pull even with one of the guys on the OL, they need to start him.

I asked him about Tom Brady: "the only reason they're coming down so hard on him is to let the rest of players know they can't mess around. If we're willing to suspend Tom for this, what do you think we'd do to you?"

Nate is one of my favorite guys out here. He's looking awesome, he's doing great, and most importantly, he loves his Dallas Cowboys.
