Cold mornings, seasonal afternoons, and sunshine this weekend; Next chance of rain midweek

CBS News Texas

Friday morning was freezing, literally! In fact, it was one of the coldest since February 18th. Continuing into this weekend, the days will start off cold but will be a few degrees warmer. It's important to continue to take precautions and bring indoors sensitive plants and pets!

Saturday afternoon, there will be plenty of sunshine with temperatures climbing into the 60s with winds from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph. If you are planning on tailgating for the Texas versus Texas A&M game, it will be a perfect day across not only DFW but also in College Station!

Traveling across the Lone Star state shouldn't be an issue this weekend. Temperatures will remain around average and conditions will be clear.

The changes to the forecast are expected by midweek. A moist airmass will move into North Texas which will bring the chance of rainfall back to the area by Wednesday.

Until then, enjoy the weekend and stay tuned for the latest weather updates!
