DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The Dallas School District has cancelled classes at Woodrow Wilson High School for the rest of the week.

A small, but smoky fire caused an evacuation and early dismissal Tuesday. The fire was confined to a boys bathroom on the third-floor.

Robin Harris with the district says they want to be careful.

"We just determined that the best way to continue with the cleanup process that was needed is to cancel classes on Thursday and Friday."

Harris says students can retrieve personal items.

"They will escorted into the building by staff, Thursday between eight and ten in the morning on the Glasgow side of the building."

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. District officials say the high school will reopen Monday morning.
