Clark High School In Plano Placed On Lockdown Friday Afternoon

According to the Plano Police Department, officers responded to a 9-1-1 call from a cell phone located at Clark High School. The caller said that a subject was inside the school with a gun and possibly a bomb.

Officers conducted a primary and secondary search of the building with the assistance of several PISD bomb detection dogs. No weapons or devices were located in the search. The building search was completed at approximately 1:30 p.m. and the school was removed from lock-down.

Police determined that the phone from which the 9-1-1 call was placed had been reported stolen earlier in the week from a student at the school. At this time, no arrests were made and no suspects have been identified. The investigation is on-going.

Plano police say lockdown is now over. Everyone safe.

According to Plano ISD officials one student has been detained, no weapon was found.

PLANO (CBSDFW) - Plano ISD officials have confirmed that Clark High School is on lockdown. Plano Police are on the scene.

Plano police were called to Clark High School on Spring Creek early Friday afternoon because they'd received a call about a weapon possibly being brought to school.

The district's Facebook page says the caller was able to give a specific description of where the weapon might be found.

Students are all safe in their classrooms but the school is on lockdown as police investigation continues.

The school is unable to accept phone calls at the moment, but the Plano ISD will continue to keep the community informed as information becomes available.
