Christina Morris Kidnapping Trial Date Set

McKINNEY,TX (CBSDFW.COM) — A trial date has been set for Enrique Arochi, the man accused of kidnapping Christina Morris, a 23 year old Fort Worth woman.

Avoiding eye contact with the victim's family, Arochi, 25, appeared in a McKinney courthouse today. District Judge Mark Rusch set the trial date for November 30, 2015.

Speaking to CBS 11's Arezow Doost, Jonni McElroy, Christina Morris' mother, plead for a resolution, "I want answers, I want closure. I not only want closure for our family, but the Arochi family too."

Arochi is charged with aggravated kidnapping.

Morris went missing from a parking lot at The Shops at Legacy in Plano the night of August 30, 2014. She was with Arochi, a high school acquaintance.

Morris' DNA was found in the trunk of Arochi's vehicle.

Arochi is also charged with the sexual assault of a child, a disturbing detail that was discovered during the Morris investigation. Additionally, he is being help on an immigration detainer.

Due to the high profile nature of the case, a gag order was withdrawn. Judge Rusch also said that in order to ensure a fairness the trial will not be moved to a different county.

Morris' family has scheduled a balloon release Thursday night at Celebration Park in Allen. The balloons will be purple - Christina Morris' favorite color.
