Child Dies After Being Hit By SUV, While Running From Swarm Of Wasps

LEWISVILLE (CBSDFW) - An 8-year-old boy died over the weekend after he was struck by an SUV as he ran from a swarm of wasps.
Lewisville Police say Alexander Ramirez was playing with his friends in a mobile home park on Highway 121 when the children found, and disturbed, a wasp nest.

While running away from the swarm, Police say Ramirez ran into the path of the vehicle and was struck.
Ramirez was taken to the hospital, but died of his injuries.
No charges are expected against the woman driving the SUV, thought she was ticketed for not having insurance.
