LAS COLINAS (CBS11 SPORTS) - The AT&T Byron Nelson Championship will tee off this week at the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas.

The tournament will bring in some of the biggest names in golf, including hometown hero Jordan Spieth.

But more importantly, the tournament is the main fundraiser for the Salesmanship of Dallas.

The Salesmanship Clubs is dedicated to supporting the Momentous Institute, which "builds and repairs social, emotional health for kids and families through education, therapeutic programs, research and training."

Funds raised at the AT&T Byron Nelson Championship go to supporting and operating the Momentous Institute.

Recently, the First Tee of Dallas joined forces with the Salesmanship Club to send volunteers to the Momentous Institute teaching the students character building and life skills using the game of golf.

For First Tee of Dallas Executive Director David Rambie, the competition and energy created by the program are only outweighed by the lessons the students learn from golf.

"Teach them something about respect, for themselves and respect for others," said Rambie. "Skills that we hope will carry forward in life."
