HOUSTON (AP) — Fabian Castillo had a goal and two assists and FC Dallas beat the Houston Dynamo 4-1 on Friday night in the Texas Derby.

Dallas (5-2-2) moved into first place in the Western Conference and will host Houston (2-3-4) on June 26 and Oct. 4. The teams will play multiple regular-season games for the first time since 2011 because of MLS's offseason realignment.

Castillo assisted on two first-half goals as FC Dallas built a 2-0 lead midway through the half. He back-heeled a pass near midfield to Ryan Hollingshead, who raced down the field in space and finished from distance. Castillo ran down a long ball in the 21st minute on another counter-attack, dribbled to the baseline and found a trailing David Texeira.

Giles Barnes pulled Houston to 2-1 in the 32nd minute on a free kick over the wall to the top corner.

But Dallas scored twice in the first 10 minutes of the second half to pull away. Mauro Diaz took three touches along the 18-yard line and hammered a shot past goalkeeper Tyler Deric in the 52nd minute for a 3-1 lead. Three minutes later, Castillo flicked in a goal after being left alone on the left side.
