SUV Climbs Pole Wires In Bizarre Car Accident

FARMERS BRANCH (CBSDFW.COM) - A driver in Farmers Branch ended up staring straight up at the sky after losing control of her SUV.

It's the kind of accident, you can't quite explain in words, which is why so many people had to stop and take a picture.

"My initial reaction was, 'Oh my God, What happened?' And then I realized it was my neighbor's car. And I started freaking out," said Deanna Robinson.

Robinson found her neighbor standing nearby after her SUV drove up the cables supporting a utility pole, at the intersection of Josey Lane and Valwood Parkway.

"She was shaken up a little bit, but she was okay," said Richardson. "She said her steering wheel had locked up and as she was turning into the parking lot, she lost control of it."

The woman behind the wheel told family members she was able to open the door and hop out.

Robinson said, she called police because she was worried drivers were so distracted by the bizarre site that there could be a second accident.

But when officers arrived, they checked out the driver and ended up arresting her on a prior warrant.

Neighbors told us the driver runs a daycare from her home and may have had her daughter and another child in the car with her. Police could not confirm if there were any passengers.
