Camp Diggy Bones Thankful, But Still Needs Help

LAVON (CBSDFW.COM) - The largest dog kennel in Collin County that recently lost its funding is thankful for the people who have come forward to help, but said it still needs help finding homes for its dogs.

Since CBS 11 News reported on the story of Camp Diggy Bones two weeks ago, 49 dogs have been adopted. Still, there are 251 animals still in need of a forever home.

The kennel operators are relying on day-to-day donations to keep the remaining dogs alive. It's something animal welfare groups call an absolute crisis.

Anyone who wants to adopt a dog from is urged to call 214.298.7562 or visit the kennel's website: campdiggybones.com
